Gordon Brittas means well, but someone gets upset every time he opens his mouth - or does anything at all, really. This season opens with Gordon facing a seemingly endless list of criminal charges, which, unsurprisingly, is a surprise to Gordon.
Gordon finds himself on trial for a long list of charges including the murder of seven men. He pleads his innocence, but the mounting evidence seems to suggest otherwise.
Laura is away at a job interview for the day, causing Helen to panic that she might be leaving. Meanwhile, the baptism taking place in the swimming pool goes horribly wrong.
As Whitbury Leisure Centre celebrates its second anniversary, Gordon's twin brother Horatio visits before taking up his new church posting. He is having doubts about his vocation and is looking for a sign, which Gordon inadvertently provide.
