The less-than-holy trinity are back in the habit as they continue to survive the surprising exigencies of modern life in the second season of this award-winning series.
The priests are off on their annual holiday in the Kilkelly Caravan Park. But the place is marred by a suspicious couple living nearby, an over-excitable youth group, and more rain than the average monsoon.
In order to fix their leaky roof, Father Ted gets a car to raffle. But there's a problem with the bodywork and he, Dougal and Jack borrow another car from the Dancing Priest. But how are they going to get it back after it's been won?
Father Ted receives word that the Holy Stone of Clonrichert, Craggy Island's most popular religious knick-knack, is being upgraded to a Class II relic.
Dougal is extremely enthusiastic about the Eurosong Contest, so Ted decides that he and Dougal will 'borrow' a turn from an old Eurosong hopeful and enter it as their own.
Aggressive protest singer Niamh Connolly arrives on the island to 'get her head together' and look for a future home... just in time for the annual Lovely Girls Competition.
It's Lent and the trio all agree to sacrifice a luxury. For Ted, it's ciggies. Jack gives up the booze (well, Ted hides it) and Dougal agrees to hang up his blades.
Jack's incredibly hairy hands indicate that he is suffering from a common complaint that afflicts old priests. But his replacement is more trouble than the great man himself.
Flying back from a visit to a particularly holy shrine, the priestly trio find themselves in mortal danger when a fellow father goes mad in the cockpit.
Fathers Ted, Dougal, Jack and Mrs Doyle prepare for a Craggy Christmas, but the more is not the merrier when Ted and Dougal find themselves lost in a store's lingerie section.
